When I read posts like Ozzy's opening today it certainly makes me sit back and wonder what sort of relationship my two boys will have and hope that we've raised an older brother with enough compassion for his younger brother to keep an eye out for him in just that sort of way. To then see how the younger brother responds and looks back with such fondness for a memory that happened many moons ago shows just how the small things in life truly can loom large.

Agreed that it was a really good interview. But she's not naked in that movie, they're wrong about that.
I almost lost my breakfast this morning when Howard was claiming that most pairs of jeans make his hips look too big. WTF?

I suppose if you are KG you have to take that call. I mean the guy signs your checks and all, but jesus can someone just tell that guy to keep his yapper shut? I don't want to hear KG guaranteeing championships through the owner relaying it to a newspaper. Wyc is Kraft, stopwatch in hand, looking for a press corner. <_< \
As for the streaming thing... we've talked with Gorman about this a lot on the show and he his a huge fan of the idea of streaming on the net. The problem will likely be the league office who have a pretty 19th century way of thinking when it comes to the internet. Maybe they'll buy in because the team and their broadcast partners are behind it, but I fear that the league will squash this quickly. Also, many people have told me that the CSNNE webpage is a clusterfck of epic proportions. I'm not saying that but others have, just so we're clear on that... others. CSNNE would to invest a whole lot more into their web operations than they have to make this work.

Damn. If that's the case, my younger brother is going to take a dump on my forehead at my wake should I outlive him.

I could only take about 2 minutes of her.

It could be that he has discovered a sports almanac from the future, and he's having trouble keeping it to himself.
Maybe Rex suffered emotional damage when he gave away a win over an undefeated team with a too-clever-for-his-own-good time out.

Wilfork finally made an appearance yesterday. The big nose tackle, who has boycotted all of the Patriots' organized team activities, including on Tuesday, was in Dorchester to promote the online raffle he's holding to benefit the Vince Wilfork Foundation, the Joslin Diabetes Center, and the Diabetes Research Institute.
Give it up to Chris Gasper. That's a solid opening line.

This is exactly the kind of thing that makes me want the Jets to never win. To repeat my post from yesterday a bit, I think the Jets are the main team other than the Yankees I want to fail. Tampa Bay wins the AL? That sucked, but OK. Indianapolis wins the AFC- horrendous, but it happened. The Jets getting to the Superbowl would disappoint me.
Also, mark me down as anti-DMB. Rock and roll violin? He's stealing John Mellencamp's move!
Did Bob Geldoff kill Caradine too? A few charity concerts and the guy thinks he's untouchable.

Either he's confirming that Tannenbaum was the whistle blower or he really thinks Larry Izzo was a shot across the bow.

You know, I have seen DMB twice and my beef with them has always been far more with his fans than him. and those comments remind me of that. I like him and the band. The second time I saw him, I liked the show a lot better than the first. But, it only has its time and place for me. Its easy listening. They play it on stations my mother listens to. And she is approaching 70. They play it in supermarkets. Its a combination of soft rock and some rock. Yeah, there is some jazz thrown in. But its not jazz. Some of his lyrics are good, some ridiculous as the reviewer points out. His band is very talented.
I like the band, but his fans are out of control. Its more a fad to a large portion of them. Its almost pre-requisite to love "Dave" without really knowing why. But you must because everyone else does. But actually, I believe the downside has hit. The guy is like 42 now. He had a lot harder time selling tickets at Fenway this time then in 2005, when they were in huge demand. The new album is only doing so so. In 10 years, the guy will likely be playing Bank of America Pavillion to the hardcore fans, but the fad will be over. And I'm a fan, but its too bad his @!&%ing fans almost spoil it for me.

So basically, there are pink hat DMB fans?
I think the height of South African contribution to American popular culture was the 'Diplomatic Immunity' guy from Lethal Weapon II. Or 'Graceland'- it's a toss up.

She appeared to answer every question honestly. And the answer to almost every question was yes. She was anointed with "good girl" status by Howard. FCM - I didn't find her nearly as annoying as Brooke Hogan but I may be looking at this through "Wild Things" colored glasses.
I realize this is entirely inappropriate baked into the body of this post but I do want to express what a phenomenal post that was Ozzy. I'm not sure how you managed to so eloquently capture the essence of that special relationship. I'm very sorry for your loss.

DMB was hit big when I was young and impressionable in high school, and thus "Under the table and dreaming" and Petty's "Wildflowers' are in many ways the soundtrack to my high school years. Nearly everyone I know that is my age still thinks Dave Matthews is a goddamn genius. To me, he's alright. He's no Jimmy Page though...

The new album came out 2 days ago. How do you know it is doing so/so? Demand in Hartford today is as big as it has been since 1996, when he started to get huge.
Other than that, I'm in agreeance with your statement regarding the fans. Many of them are twits.
