A text message to a station spokesman early Saturday afternoon was not immediately returned. It’s unclear whether either Mustard or Johnson will still appear on the station in any capacity (Johnson is, sadly, a regular fill-in on other ‘EEI shows).
However, Shots is being told to expect a WEEI.com-tied-in show to debut next Saturday in the 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. slot, likely featuring WEEI.com’s editorial overlord, Rob Bradford and likely involving some type of web element to help promote the fledgling site.
The move - no matter who replaces the Musty One and The Tracer - is an immediate win-win for Entercom. They get a new voice (or voices) on Saturday mornings to launch NFL and Pennant Drive seasons AND they will be able to use what amounts to a weekly, four-hour infomercial for the original content being generated by Bradford’s troops at the dot-com.

At one point, Mustard said something to the effect of, "I don't know how, but we'll be back in some capacity," to which LJ promptly added, "I don't know if we'll be back at all." Don't stop believin', Craig.
Then Frank from Gloucester called in and I had to go to a CD.
LJ and Mustard had that show for 13 years?!? Good grief.
I hope Bob in NH is OK; anyone check in on him? :P

About 5 or so years ago, I was at a business lunch in stoneham (some italian place near the center on 28). Acouple tables over KK was eating lunch with his wife. We saw him and were talking softly about the good ole days of the Sanmartino era. KK wife came over and said would you like an autograph? We said sure. She went back to the table pulled out a couple 5x7 pic cards and he signed away. I kind of felt like I was 10 years old.

I was terrified the Sox might be interested in acquiring him, but not sure the Jays would trade in the division and the Sox apparently like John McDonald better anyway.
If the Sox did pick up Eckstein, they run into a dilema; buy another stepstool for being able to see into the bathroom mirror or have him share Pedroia's.

I am with you. The guy is absurdly talented, although we will undoubtedly be subjected to endless "he's gritty and works hard" articles now that he's emerging as a star. But the guy oozes talent despite his unconventional build. He has scary-good hand-eye coordination and one of the quickest bats in the majors.
When I saw him play in Portland back in '06 or so he looked like a man among boys in that league. He's looking the same way now.
