It wouldn't even occur to me to consider that they'll call a fair game. The Sox will surely take the series due to officiating. Why would anyone even question that?

this baseball show is pathetic. ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC. they've gone over the playoff scenario about 200 times every hour. HEY WE GOT IT WE UNDERSTAND. Not only that they've been repeating the same stupid @!&%ing jokes every hour and listing the WEEI weekend schedule. isn't this the @!&%ing baseball show? The callers have more knowledge than the hosts.

wondering if anyone has hear Meter's commerciail for Milton's? He touts his contrarian attitude in order to market Milton's as a place to shop. Someone should call Milton's and let them know they should get that spot off the air ASAP.

Mike Adams has his faults but he is very sincere and at least he's polite to his callers. This is a million times better than the angry 50 year old virgin.  Sarandis was impossible to listen to and would only let those who scrubbed his nuts get a word in edgewise.  good riddance. Adams maybe a buffoon but at least he's sometimes entertaining and enthusiastic.
View Post

I say this without any personal knowledge of Sarandis at all, but I'm not sure his anger was truly who he is. His show has gotten progressively worse, presumably due to the information in the earlier post. The station wanted him gone, they probably paid him very little, wouldn't pay his guests and wanted him to "entertain' when all he wanted to do was talk about sports.

I don't condone him taking the show to lower depths, but I don't entirely blame him eitther. He is a genuine fan and a nice guy who was bullied out of the business by the lowest common demoninator. Sad that you can't make it on that station without a shtick or an attitude. It didn't used to be that way, and he fit in fine for a while. He's better off without the rest of them.

He was as shtick driven as the rest of them. Witness his refusal to take any call which dared to ask who a team might acquire/release in the offseason, which is a legitimate sports question.

Not a good start given the shadows of the park and Randy Johnson on the mound.

I missed the Baseball show on eei...I sure hope Buck told the story about RJ being an amatuer photographer and how much he loves Boston's architecture...I'm welling up just thinking about...if somehow he could dovetail "Rancho Cucomungo" into it...wow

Damon with another stolen base.

Interesting that when the chips are down, the Sox are running and trying plays more than they have in the previous month.

What's the matter with these people??!!?? Is their sense of entitlement that bad?? Look only to the 1999 ALCS, morons, where bad call after bad call went against the Red Sox, and to rub it in later, umps were calling Yankee players by their nicknames.  Yeah, nothing wrong with that.

And New York teams in every sport seemed to get officiating breaks more than others - up until the last few years, in my opinion. Why this has changed, I don't know, or maybe it's just my perception.

Its one thing for guys like Sheffield, Matsui, A-Rod and Jeter to beat you but to let Tino, Flaherty and Bernie hit the ball around you know you're in trouble.

So Millar cant generate any runs and then is responsible for 2 runs. Nice. We've been Millar'd.

Is it possible Joe Fluck reads this board? He made a crack about hitting the mute button "even more." Last night on here, there was a reference to that in anticipation of today's game. :)

Didnt you know, its their god-given right to have their beloved Yankees win the World Series every year. And if they dont, its either the umps or a conspiracy by Major League Baseball that prevents them from doing so. Dont you know, they have a storied history!!!

Hmm...it's still the regular season. Roberto Petagine may have had that, also. Terry may THINK it's the playoffs, but he's got a bench-full of guys who can field better, and they're available. Could it be any worse? In addition, Millar doesn't hit that well against lefties at Fenway.

No chance Petagine gets a start in the biggest game of the year against Randy Johnson.

Olerud, maybe, but he'll be playing tomorrow and this sun seems to be killing the lefties on the Sox today at the plate.

Hey RJ - it is possible for a pitch not to be a strike you shiitbum. STFU!!!

If I hear Mcarver talk about how the Yanks always bring the whole infield in on mound visits Im going to find him and kick him in the nuts. And Pettagini is home (Serious Family emergency.)

RJ is kind of shaky himself, but you fear if he gets off the hook, he'll get better as the game goes on.
